Is the installed kWp output actually achieved?

No. There are many factors which determine output, including:

• Fixed installation or tracking system
• Roof pitch and orientation
• Module cooling
• Shading
• Electrical system layouts (e.g. cable cross-section, inverter design etc.)
• Module cleaning
• Snow and ice
• Sunshine duration

In view of this, calculations of the precise expected annual output of the system should be obtained before going ahead. Per installed module output of 1 kWp, the yields range around the 1,000 kWh per kWp mark.
